What is a custom URL?

A custom URL is used to differentiate your events from one another. When creating a new event, your custom URL will be auto-generated based on your event name. You can edit your URL at any time to fit your needs.

Some tips to keep in mind:

  • Always include the full event name -- and if you’re not worried about the length of the URL go ahead and throw in the event location and date. You can always convert it to a short link later for easy sharing :)
  • Use dashes to indicate spaces between words (for example, instead of sunvalleybeerfestival, use sun-valley-beer-festival).
  • Use lowercase characters
  • Avoid gap words like "and" and "the" as they add little relevance and make URLs longer.
Pro tip: Once your event is published your URL will be indexed by Google; keep this in mind, since any URL changes that you do after the event is published will not be indexed by Google immediately.
