Meta Pixel ID
The Meta pixel can be used for three main functions:
- Building Custom Audiences from your website for remarketing.
- Optimizing ads for conversions.
- Tracking conversions and attributing them back to your ads.
Connect your Facebook Pixel ID to your Big Tickets account
4. Add your Pixel ID to your event pages.
5. Go to My Events > Manage Events > Select Your Event > Go to Social & Integrations tab (Step 2) > Add your Pixel ID > Save your event.
Events are actions that happen on your website. Standard events are predefined by Meta and can be used to log conversions, optimize conversions, and build audiences. See below for a list of the standard events for the Meta Pixel that Big Tickets uses with our current integration.
Standard Events Used By Big Tickets Pixel Integration
Website action | Description | Standard event code |
---|---|---|
Initiate checkout | The start of a checkout process. For example, clicking a Checkout button. | fbq('track', 'InitiateCheckout'); |
Purchase | The completion of a purchase, usually signified by receiving order or purchase confirmation, or a transaction receipt. For example, landing on a Thank You or confirmation page. | fbq('track', 'Purchase', {value: 0.00, currency: 'USD'}); |
View content | A visit to a web page you care about. For example, a product or landing page. View content tells you if someone visits a web page's URL, but not what they do or see on that web page. | fbq('track', 'ViewContent'); |
Note: The page view event is included as part of your pixel base code. Page view tells when someone lands on a web page with the pixel base code installed.
