What does it mean when tickets are pending?

When you log into your account you may see a notification of tickets pending. Pending tickets are the number of tickets currently in the process of being sold (meaning the purchaser has selected their tickets but hasn't yet completed the billing process).

The number of tickets currently pending is shown on your Dashboard and in your Transaction report:
