Scan tickets
To scan print-at-home or mobile tickets, first download the Eventpro app. Then:
Log into Eventpro
Log in with your Big Tickets username and password, or with the scanning-only username and password provided by your account manager.
Open the Scanner and select your event
Tap Scanner from the menu (three-line icon at top left), then select your event name. The app syncs the event's ticket database to your device — it only takes a few seconds.
Start scanning
Tap the Big Tickets icon (Tap to start scanning), then hold the ticket barcode within view of the camera. You'll get a confirmation when the scan is successful and the ticket is checked in.

Check in attendees
You can check in guests who have registered for your event without scanning a PDF or mobile ticket. Here's how:
Open the Scanner and select your event
Log into Eventpro, tap Scanner from the menu, and select the event you're checking guests in for.
Find the attendee's ticket
Use the Ticket Lookup bar at the top of the Scanner screen to find the ticket. You can search by the purchaser's name, the attendee's name, or the barcode number.

Check in the ticket
You'll see a ticket icon if the ticket hasn't been checked in. Tap the ticket, then hit Check In to confirm.

To check in the next guest, hit the back button (<) to return to the search results.
Eventpro scan settings
These settings let you customize event scanning for a seamless, quick check-in process. Open them from the gear icon at the top right of the Scanner screen.

- Check out — Reverses a check-in, checking the attendee out of the event.
- Validate only — Verifies the ticket without marking it as used.
Sync Settings

- Hybrid — Validates scans against a remote validation server if network is available, and against a local database if not. This is the default sync mode.
- Local — Validates scans against a local database downloaded to the device (works offline).
- Realtime — Validates scans against a remote validation server; requires internet for all scans.
Device Name — Set a name for your device. The device name shows up on scan reports — helpful when you want to track scans by device.

Advanced scanning settings
Customize how and when your event staff can scan with these event-level controls:
Scan Color — Choose a color to highlight successful scans. Note: red is reserved for failed scans and should not be used.
Notes for Scanners — Leave important instructions or reminders for your staff that appear in the Eventpro app.
Daily Scanning Window — Restrict scanning to a specific time window each day (for example, 2 PM–10 PM) to prevent early or late entries.
Scanning Start Date — Blocks scans before your designated event start date and time.
