Creating a Presale Code
Set up Presale Codes to password protect tickets until the public onsale. Presale codes lock down all tickets in the event. If you only need to password protect one ticket, see
Hidden Ticket Types.
1. Go To My Events > Manage Events . Click on the pulldown menu for your event under Action
2. Click on Edit
3. Click on the Customize tab.
4. Select "Promo Required"
5. On the next line, set the beginning and end of the Presale. The end is the public on sale date.
6. Click on Save Event at the bottom of the screen.
8. Click on Promo Codes
9. Select your event
10. Click on Add Promo Code
11. Type the Presale code name.
12. Select "Yes" for "Is Unlock Code"?
13. Enter the start and end of the Presale Code. It is best practice to set the end date as the event date, so that Presale Links do not expire.
14. Type "0" into discount, so that the Presale Code does not discount the tickets.
15. Click on Add Promotion
16. Click on the arrow button next to "Presale" to generate the Pre-Applied Presale link.
