Accept Payments with Square Terminal and Eventpro Box Office
Introducing our new feature on Eventpro: Seamless integration with Square Terminal for accepting payments. This guide will walk you through the simple steps to connect Square Terminal to your Eventpro account. Connect Square Terminal to your current Big Tickets Eventpro Box Office setup so customers can utilize "Tap To Pay" or easily insert their card for a convenient and secure checkout.
Prerequisites
- An Eventpro account with Box Office permissions.
- Your Square Terminal device.
Setting Up Eventpro
Step 1: Log In
Log in to your Eventpro account with Box Office permissions.
Step 2: Access Box Office
Go to the main menu and select 'Box Office' to activate the module.
Step 3: Navigate to Settings
In the Box Office module, open the menu and select 'Settings'.
Step 4: Square Terminal Setup
Choose 'Square Terminal' to access the Square Terminal Setup modal.
Step 5: Connecting Square Terminal
Click on 'Connect Square Terminal'.
Step 6: Assigning a Nickname
You have the option to enter a nickname for your Terminal for easy identification. This step is optional.
Step 7: Initiate Connection
Press 'Continue'. This action requests a device code from the Square API through our server.
Step 8: Await Device Code
A device code will be displayed along with instructions. The Eventpro app will wait for the device code, which remains active for 5 minutes.
Setting Up Square Terminal
Step 1: Sign In to Square Terminal
Tap 'Sign in' on your Square Terminal.
Step 2: Device Code Entry
Select 'Use a device code' and enter the code provided by the Eventpro app.
Step 3: Finalize Sign In
Tap 'Sign in'. You should see the Square logo along with 'Powered by Square' once logged in.
Finalizing the Connection on Eventpro
Step 1: Confirmation
Back on the Eventpro app, wait for the 'Connected' message to appear.
Step 2: Completion
Tap 'Done'. Your Square Terminal is now paired with the Eventpro app.
Using Square Terminal for Payments
With Square Terminal set up, you can now process payments more efficiently. During checkout at the Box Office, select the 'Pay with Card' option. You'll see two methods: 'Square Terminal' and 'Manual Card Entry'.
